A Bit About Me

Erin has been inspired by great design since she was a small child living in Europe and the Middle East.  Growing up abroad in her early years, then in California for the duration, she was compelled by beautiful places and things from a young age.  Erin moved to San Francisco after college at San Diego State, seeking a corporate executive's life.  But after a decade of retail buying and sourcing for large American retailers, she realized that design was her passion. Creating beautiful things and places were what excited her to do the things she does well every day.  Hence the birth of Erin Horan Design was renamed Trendhive Design in 2020. 

Erin has traveled the world seeking inspiration and unique elements to bring to her design business in San Francisco and beyond.  Her client roster includes Napa Valley vineyard owners, Millennial tech gurus, public school teachers, retired venture capitalists, and soccer moms.  She has designed spaces for second homes in Sonoma and Palm Springs, primary residences in the Castro and St. Francis Woods, and even a vintage Airstream trailer.  

Whether she is designing family-friendly homes, swanky bachelor pads, or empty nesters’ country retreats, Erin believes in the power of good design can elevate our life and our mood.  Her mission is to enrich her clients' lives by creating comfortable and fulfilling spaces, adding unexpected and personal touches along the way.
